Mercedes-Benz Dealership  Burlington, Ontario
Referencing the Canadian Green Building Council's LEED guidelines, a design team incorporated 16 major energy-saving innovations, including a REHAU radiant floor heating system installed throughout the 65,000 ft² (6,040 ) building. Read more details.

Denver Zoo Denver, Colorado
The sustainable design of Denver Zoo’s new 10-acre $50 million Asian Tropics complex provides an appealing environment for animals while converting more than 90% of the zoo’s waste into usable onsite energy. Read more details.

Solaris Vail, Colorado
A vastly impressive facility, Solaris boasts 79 condominium units and two stories of retail space, all encircling a community plaza where residents can enjoy a movie theatre, bowling alley and fitness center. With the amount of snow Vail typically receives, a robust, energy-efficient snow and ice melting (SIM) system was crucial. Read more details.
Fallsview Casino Resort  Niagara Falls, Ontario
The Fallsview Casino Resort in Ontario, Canada is located near the Horseshoe Falls, which gives off a mist throughout the year that can result in dangerous ice during cold weather. To increase safety around the casino, a mechanical contractor was hired to install a REHAU hydronic snow and ice melting system to efficiently clear accumulated snow and ice from pathways. Earth Rangers Centre  Woodbridge, Ontario
As one of Canada's most innovative and energy-efficient buildings, the 60,000 ft² Earth Rangers Centre uses a REHAU radiant heating and cooling system incorporating thermally activated slab technology to help their wildlife refuge, hospital and education centre acheive its high energy efficiency goals.  Read more details.
Ontario Police Station  London, Ontario
A REHAU snow and ice melting system was installed under the new garage entry ramp at this London, Ontario police headquarters in Canada. With its steep incline, the ramp posed a potential hazard during the winter season, particularly for trucks and larger police vehicles entering the garage. Read more details.
Spring Creek Residential Community  Canmore, Alberta
Each of the three buildings of this residential complex has been designed to incorporate integrated low-temperature radiant heating and geothermal systems as the main source of heat. Approximately 550,000 ft of RAUPEX has been installed in three residential buildings, contributing to Built Green ratings for all three. Milwaukee Art Museum  Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Milwaukee's "masterpiece on the lakefront" offers visitors an impressive collection of nearly 20,000 works from antiquity to present. A REHAU radiant heating system ensures the comfort of museumgoers as they enjoy the results of an ambitious five-year 140,000 ft² expansion and renovation project.  Read more details.
Cleveland Browns Stadium  Cleveland, Ohio
This is a complex turf conditioning system consisting of nearly 40 miles of RAUPEX O2 Barrier PEXa pipe fed by nine boilers through 19 pumps, 1,600 ft of supply/return manifold header piping, 2,460 ft of distribution piping and a sophisticated controls system.  Designed to promote grass growth at the roots, the system is divided into four zones with 189 loops per zone.  Each supply and return circuit is identical in length to ensure even temperature distribution throughout the field. FedEx Airport Hangar  Anchorage, Alaska
When the doors of this FedEx Corporation hangar are opened to allow aircraft in and out, the temperature can fall from 60ºF to -20ºF in minutes. To remedy this, the building was equipped with a hybrid radiant-forced air heating system that is both efficient and capable of recouping rapid temperature losses. Read more details.
Saturn Dealership – White Bear Lake, Minnesota
This dealership and service operation was able to increase energy efficiency and comfort with the installation of a custom REHAU radiant floor heating system. Specific requirements of the project included compensation for heat lost through large garage doors and incorporation of the existing oil reclamation boiler, which could not be moved. Waterloo EMS Facility – Waterloo, Ontario
This environmentally-sensitive medical services facility includes administrative offices and a garage capable of housing 12 ambulances. The use of a REHAU radiant heating system enabled the facility to achieve LEED Gold status, using 60 percent less energy and 85 percent less water compared to a conventionally-designed new building. It is the first project in the province of Ontario to ever receive an overall LEED Gold rating. Read more details.
Chenequa Fire Station – Hartland, Wisconsin
REHAU's radiant heating system was the natural recommendation to meet this firehouse's interior requirements for increased energy efficiency and enhanced comfort levels. In fact, not only does the system provide better overall heating of the firehouse, it also provides a quick method for melting snow off of the fire trucks. Read more details.
Harley-Davidson Dealership  Liberal, Kansas
A REHAU radiant system was chosen by Liberal Harley-Davidson to help improve the conditions of their service bays, particularly when the area would become uncomfortable to work in during hot summer months. The problem was fixed with the installation of a combined radiant heating and cooling system, which allows the area to maintain a consistent, comfortable temperature. Read more details.
Pier One Warehouse San Francisco, California
The REHAU radiant floor heating and cooling system installed in a historic warehouse located on Pier One, the northernmost pier on San Francisco's Embaracadero is, according to industry experts, among the first documented uses of a radiant heating and cooling system in North America. A REHAU radiant heating system creates a magical, calming atmosphere where customers can relax and imagine even as it lowers operating costs and delivers improved efficiency at this 10,500 ft² castle-like showroom.  Read more details.
Additional Radiant Heating and Cooling Projects
Brookside Public School – Morningside Heights, Toronto, Ontario
In this application, a REHAU radiant cooling system runs in parallel to a dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) to optimize efficiency between the hybrid air-based and hydronic-based components of the system. The school, which houses more than 600 students from junior kindergarten through grade 8, achieved LEED Gold certification and was considered the most sustainable school in its district at the time of construction.
Jean Canfield Building – Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada
This 190,000
ft² LEED Gold-certified government building was conceived as a national showcase for sustainable and green design and is one of the most environmentally friendly buildings ever constructed by Public Works and Government Services Canada. Among its many energy efficient systems are cooled and heated concrete slabs featuring REHAU PEXa pipe and PRO-BALANCE manifolds.
Charles M. Bair Family Museum Martinsdale, Montana
This $3.1 million, 7,300 ft² museum project, built on the estate of an influential local family, houses a collection of rare art, photography and artifacts valued at $10 million. In order to best preserve this collection, strict climate control requirements include low indoor relative humidity a perfect match for REHAU radiant cooling yielding high system capacities which allow floors to be cooled further than traditional radiant floor applications, without the risk of condensation. 
Loyola University: Richard J. Klarchek Information Commons – Chicago, Illinois
This modern library project has won awards for both sustainability and excellence in design, and has achieved LEED Silver certification. The building was able to cut energy usage in half by integrating energy efficient systems like radiant ceiling slabs which contain looping tubes for carrying heated or chilled water. REHAU PEXa pipe was specified for this application, designed by Hill Mechanical.
 
Segerstrom Imperial Bank Tower  Costa Mesa, California
A REHAU radiant cooling system was the ideal solution for the lobby of this high-rise office tower, where it is used to directly absorb solar gains from expansive atrium windows. In this application, our PEXa pipe was buried in a sand bed under granite floor finishes.
Waterloo Regional Police Investigative Services Building  Waterloo, Ontario
A REHAU radiant floor heating system helped this two-story, 44,648 f (4,148 ) building achieve its green objectives, receive LEED Gold certification and use less energy than predicted after two years of occupancy. Read more details
York University Dormitory – Toronto, Ontario
The Pond Road Residence, home to approximately 430 undergraduate students, uses thermally activated slab (TAS) technology which conditions the building's concrete ceilings and floors to handle the core loads of the structure. Each unit is then allowed to buffer the final couple of degrees using a downsized individually controlled air-based unit. This is a good example of how to condition adjacent spaces that share a single radiant slab.
