The FIT Show marked the launch of REHAU’s new AGILA brand targeted specifically at the doors market. It includes sliding and multi-fold doors, a Passivhaus door, composite door and a fire door, and is designed to allow customers to manufacture, install and sell a proven REHAU product for every door application.
REHAU’s strategy behind its ‘agile’ new brand is to give customers the opportunity to develop a broader and more flexible product offering without having to take any risks. They can use the AGILA profiles to expand their door range to target new business, and still maximise the sales and marketing benefits which come in both the trade and retail sectors from being able to deliver a project which is 100% REHAU.
AGILA encompasses all of REHAU’s specialist door systems which can be made in addition to standard PVC-U window and door profiles. Crucially, they all suite perfectly with REHAU TOTAL70, allowing REHAU customers to offer a formidable product combination in their chosen market sector.
There are five doors currently available in AGILA and these are all on display on the REHAU stand in a range of colours and finishes to emphasise the versatility of the range.
AGILA Sliding Door
Revealed for the first time at FIT is the AGILA sliding door, which offers contemporary slim sight lines to let more light in, and competes head on with aluminium with larger maximum sizes and multi-pane configurations
It has a clever triple track frame option which means it is easy to create stunning configurations of up to six panes with four of them sliding, without needing a separate frame connector.
AGILA Multi-Fold Door
The AGILA multi-fold door is already a well proven and popular door system, and, at FIT, the latest low threshold assembly will be showcased. The door also now features new integral gaskets to speed up fabrication and a clip-on low threshold sill to make it easier to install.
AGILA Passivhaus Door
The AGILA Passivhaus door allows customers to take advantage of opportunities in this fast growing sector of the commercial market. Using REHAU’s RAUFIPRO™ fibre composite technology, it achieves U-Values as low as 0.7W/m²K and outstanding acoustics up to 50dB, and comes with a choice of stylish, contemporary door panels.
AGILA Composite Door
For customers producing composite doors, there is of course an AGILA composite door system which features a slim 62mm designated outerframe profile suitable for use with virtually any 44mm door slab. There is also a choice of a welded or mechanically jointed transom option for use when fabricating a fixed light above.
AGILA Fire Door
And, emphasising the fact that AGILA provides a solution for every application, the AGILA fire door is designed for installations where a 30 minute fire rating is required. There are a number of top and side light combinations approved in AGILA, and the system is compatible with a range of certified hardware that provides scope for PAS24 compliance.
Before FIT, REHAU had announced that it already had manufacturers in place for all five of the doors currently in the AGILA range; and this was confirmed at the show with the brand new AGILA Sliding Door also featuring on three of its customers’ stands – Climatec Windows, Polyframe and UK Window Systems.
