Where: Passivhaus Open Day at The REHAU Hub
When: 23rd March 2016
With a combination of 178 years of industry experience on offer, the second Passivhaus Open Day at The REHAU Hub was an immense success. Over 40 people interested in Passivhaus came, ranging from architects with their clients to engineers looking for answers.
In addition to the REHAU product specialists, experts from Tremco Illbruck, Pilkington Glass, SE Controls and The Passivhaus Trust were available for discussion about specific areas of Passivhaus design. These credible industry specialists were in high demand, their knowledge proving to be priceless. The REHAU team were ready and willing to talk all about our Passivhaus certified products and spent a lot of time going into fine detail about product versatility and best practices on a one to one basis. Many people who came in were just starting out in their Passivhaus orientated careers and found the Open Day an approachable and simple way to gather information; the REHAU experts were able to answer their questions and help them on their way.
Bridget Kenyon is about to launch a Passivhaus self-build project and found the Open Day an invaluable source of information for her:
“I had a really constructive time at the open day yesterday- I feel much better prepared to embark on my self-build project. The experts were helpful, enthusiastic and very well informed, and I particularly appreciated the presence of the gentleman from the Passivhaus Trust.”
John Kirkup, an architect from Stanza Design, is just starting to test the Passivhaus waters. He wanted to find out more about the concept and processes from a resource that he could truly trust:
“Being new to Passivhaus I found the REHAU Open Day really helpful. I got a very good overview of the requirements for Passivhaus design. The team were approachable and knowledgeable.”
The Passivhaus open day was just one out of a number of events which REHAU have hosted at the Hub. These events are designed to assist construction industry professionals with both general and specific project solutions.
Kevin O’Neill REHAU Commercial Manager for Windows and Doors stated that “this type of event offers our clients the opportunity to discuss projects and products. It also gives them hands on experience of our windows and doors ensuring all aspects of the project needs are considered.”
REHAU’s next Passivhaus event will take place at The Crystal on 5th May. Click here to find out more.
