Ross-on-Wye based uPVC windows and doors supplier REHAU, has donated more than £350 to a local charity to help families facing hardship this winter.

REHAU used its presence at this year’s Ross Carnival to do it’s bit for charity, with a raffle on stand to raise money for the Ross Community Food Larder. The REHAU team raised £177 for the charity on the day, which bought two trolley loads of food and household goods for local families in need.

REHAU then matched the funds raised and gave the Ross Community Food Larder a cheque for a further £177 to help even more people in the future.

Martin Hitchin, Chief Executive from REHAU said: “We are really proud of our staff’s fundraising efforts at this year’s carnival. Through the generosity of the businesses that provided prizes for the raffle and the people who bought tickets on the day, we’ve been able to give a notable donation to a very worthwhile charity and help lots more people who are facing tough times.”

Set up in 2011, the Ross Community Food Larder is an organisation which supports individuals and families facing hardship. It is a community project supported by members of the local and district churches, Ross Town Council, the Gazette, the Lions Club, local people and local businesses.
