Ross-on-Wye based business, REHAU is once again lending their support to the much anticipated 2018 Ross carnival.
For the second year running, REHAU sponsored the first prize for the Carnival Guide colouring in competition and helped on the judging panel.
This year the prize for the talented winner, Martha Arbourne, was an iPad engraved with her name. Her winning design will be used on the front page of the Carnival programme, which contains all the information about the event on Saturday 4 August, and will be available to the thousands of visitors on the day.
Martha was delighted to win the iPad, saying she loved the iPad and was excited to win such a great prize. She added that she enjoyed entering the carnival competition and that it has been wonderful to see the design on the carnival brochures.
Sergio Fonseca, HR Director at REHAU said: “Congratulations to Martha on her win. Her entry was fantastic and we hope she enjoys her prize. As ever we are looking forward to Ross Carnival. Every year families within the community gear up in great spirit for this carnival and look forward to the great procession with the magnificent display of floats and fancy dresses that make its way around the town. The spirit of this event is brought to life with the support and generosity of local businesses. As we are a part of the local community in Ross-on-Wye we wanted to do our part by supporting yet another fun filled event and really look forward to it this year.”
As a leading supplier of uPVC windows and doors, REHAU has always looked at ways of giving back to the community. The Ross-on-Wye Carnival has been held on the first Saturday in August every year since 1977, making it the town’s oldest community tradition and a fitting event for REHAU to support.
