Ross is counting down the days until its annual carnival arrives in town – and one local business is looking forward to attending and supporting an important local organisation.
REHAU, based just outside Ross, will be attending the Ross Carnival on Saturday, August 5th, and will not only be showcasing what they do but also helping to raise money for the Ross Community Food Larder.
During the carnival a team from REHAU will be available to talk about the business, showcase products and members of the HR team will also be on hand to discuss a variety of recruitment opportunities.
A raffle will be taking place on the stand and winners will be taking home vouchers for local stores and businesses. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Ross Community Food Larder, an organisation set up in 2011 which supports individuals and families facing hardship. It is a true community project supported by members of the local and district churches, Ross Town Council, the Gazette, the Lions Club, local people and local businesses.
Martin Hitchin, Chief Executive at REHAU, said: “We’ve been working with the Ross Carnival this year and supporting them in a number of ways, including the sponsorship of the new carnival website and the provision of the first prize for the colouring competition. After all this build up we are now looking forward to being at the event, showcasing what we do at REHAU, meeting lots of new local people and of course raising some money for the community larder.“
