Three Peaks Challenge

06.06.2018

More than 30 REHAU staff will be taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge this September to raise money for the company’s chosen charity Scope.

The gruelling Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) over a two-day period. Challengers will walk 23 miles across the three peaks with a total ascent of more than 3,000m, so training and preparation in the months leading up to the event is essential.

The REHAU staff taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge come from different departments and locations from across the UK, Ireland and Italy, and the cost of the challenge (including travel and accommodation) is being covered by the company.

To assist the walkers in raising money, a fundraising event will be held each month from April to August. All money raised will go to Scope, REHAU UK’s charity of the year 2018.

Martin Hitchin Chief Executive from REHAU, said: “The Three Peaks Challenge is not only a significant personal challenge to each one of our employees taking part, but it’s also something that is bringing us together as a company and helping to build a fantastic team spirit around achieving a common goal. Whether people are taking part directly, helping to fundraise, or attending a fundraising event, we are very much in it together, and it’s a positive experience for everyone.”

REHAU will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge in September, starting on Friday 7th and finishing on Sunday 9th with a celebratory lunch in Blaenau, where REHAU’s manufacturing facility is located.
