CWCT Approved (giving NHBC compliance)
Polytec 50 glass walls have exceptional weather performance abilities and passed the stringent CWCT (Centre for Window Cladding Technology) weather performance tests in 2014, confidently passing all areas. All tests were either equal to or in excess of the requirements for current BS EN Standards for Curtain Walling.
The National House Building Council (NHBC) now base their standards on the CWCT’s and look for CWCT compliance on new build curtain walling projects. With this approval, our system can be specified for new build work controlled by the NHBC.
Thanks to its excellent thermal insulation of up to Ucw-value-0.8 W/(m2K), Polytec 50 has been certified suitable for Passivhaus projects and zero carbon buildings. With optimum thermal insulation standard, it ensures energy loss is minimised through the building fabric for new builds, as well as refurbishment projects.
