The Ross-on-Wye Carnival has a brand new website to promote and celebrate this year’s much anticipated event thanks to funding from local sponsor REHAU.

REHAU is one of the main sponsors of the annual carnival this year, which will be held on Saturday 5 August 2017.

The Ross-on-Wye Carnival has been held on the first Saturday in August every year since 1977, making it the town's oldest tradition.

The carnival is organised by a team of local volunteers and the event is supported by many of Ross-on-Wye’s businesses and charities.

Every year the annual procession makes its way around the town’s centre, showing off a magnificent display of floats and fancy dress.  Anyone can take part in the carnival, with some great prizes up for grab.  You can enter by filling in our entry form.

The procession ends at the Ropewalk where you will find plenty of great entertainment including a fun fair, many different stalls and a wide range of food and drink. You can see a map of the full procession route here.

In the run-up to the carnival, we organise a selection of competitions including a colouring-in contest, and the family favourite ‘Odd Object’. Click here to see what competitions we have lined up this year.
