Complete Recyclate Self-Sufficiency Through Three Certified Plants

REHAU Window Solutions operates three own recycling plants with a combined capacity of 70,000 tonnes per year. On a balance sheet basis, these plants cover the entire recyclate requirement of our in-house production. This provides planning reliability: window professionals are independent of market fluctuations and benefit from consistent quality through QM certifications.

The material expertise of REHAU Window Solutions enables innovations that go well beyond conventional recycling. RAU-FIPRO X is a fibre-reinforced core compound that enables high-quality recyclate content even in structurally demanding profiles. The result is slender sightlines for architectural transparency with optimum structural performance, as found in ARTEVO systems. Fully steel-free floor thresholds with high proportions of recycled material are a further consequence of this material expertise.

RAU-INFINIO goes one step further: Glass long fibre technology uses thermoplastic pultrusion with virtually endless glass fibres. The result is profiles with E-moduli on a par with aluminium while remaining fully recyclable – made possible by thermoplastic binders instead of non-recyclable resins. The single-type processing of these hybrid materials creates particularly high-quality components for closed loops.

EcoPuls: 65 Percent of Profiles Contain Recyclate

REHAU Window Solutions is setting benchmarks in the circular economy: More than 65% of REHAU’s production volume in Europe is already manufactured using recycled material and contains between 25% and 80% recycled content – depending on the profile design and system variant.. The use of recycled material saves 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually – equivalent to the binding power of around eight million trees. The production of recyclates generates 88 percent less CO₂ emissions compared to virgin PVC. ARTEVO systems naturally fulfil affordable housing requirements with slender sightlines and high-quality recyclate content – made possible by RAU-FIPRO X technology.

Take-back & Recycling: Three certified plants process old windows, roller shutters and production offcuts. Individual logistics solutions cover Europe and are tailored to different business sizes.

System Solutions: EcoPuls profiles offer solutions with a high recyclate content. Innovation leadership in materials continuously creates new opportunities for higher-quality recyclate content and recyclable high-performance profiles. The 80 mm system platform, for example, offers maximum component compatibility.

Digital Services: REHAU Window.ID anticipates the EU Digital Product Passport and automatically delivers ESG-compliant data. This supports window professionals with DGNB, LEED and BREEAM certifications using verified sustainability data.

Reporting: ESRS-compliant reporting provides planning reliability. Verified CO₂ data flows directly into customers’ Scope 3 calculations. “We develop systems rather than individual profiles and from the very start we take production, assembly, service and digital connectivity into account. Decarbonisation: Scope 2 Neutrality Achieved Since 2025

As part of the REHAU Group, REHAU Window Solutions has committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and is working consistently on its roadmap to reduce emissions.

Scope 2 neutrality with the exception of a few administrative sites with very low energy consumption was already achieved in 2025 – through renewable electricity on a balance sheet basis from power purchase agreements, photovoltaic installations and wind energy. For Scope 3, increasing recyclate content reduces emissions from raw materials by up to 88 percent. The sort-pure processing of hybrid materials and low-emission logistics solutions contribute additional reductions.

Transparency Through ESRS Reporting

REHAU Window Solutions documents all sustainability activities in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS). Clear key performance indicators on recyclate use, CO₂ savings and resource conservation create transparency, verified content and confidence among investors and clients. In addition, REHAU Window Solutions is engaged as a member of the UN Global Compact in support of the Sustainable Development Goals and makes a substantial contribution as an active partner in VinylPlus, the EU-wide voluntary commitment of the PVC industry.
