New REHAU Marketplace features improve the online shopping experience

Online platform offers edging and surface solutions for designers and manufacturers.

REHAU Marketplace, an online platform offering edging and surface solutions for designers and manufacturers of cabinetry and architectural millwork, has new enhancements based on customer feedback. The updates bring more organization and specificity to the site, making navigation easier for customers.

The marketplace already provides a robust search feature for cross-referencing REHAU edging with more than 100 laminate and melamine brands and browsing more than 100 modern surface finishes supplied by REHAU. Since its arrival to the marketplace last year, the smaller edgeband coil size of 100 ft. continues to be a significant convenience for woodworkers.

“When we developed the REHAU Marketplace, our goal was to provide customers with easier access to our wide range of edgeband and surface solutions,” said Dr. Thomas Troeger, chief sales and marketing officer. “With each new feature, we strive to meet our goal of making online product searching and purchasing easier for our customers.”

Visitors are welcomed to the site with an array of REHAU matches to the season’s top laminate colors and can now view, for each embossed edgeband, an image of its embossing structure. New categories have also been added for adhesives, veneer edgebands and samples.

Among the organizational updates aimed at improving the customer experience is the addition of a notes section, which allows customers to type notes before placing an order. These notes will appear on their confirmation email after placing an order.

Exclusively from the REHAU Marketplace, stocked thin and thick edgeband in the most popular colors is available in coils as small as 100 ft.

“While REHAU leads the world in edging technology, last year we decided to innovate around how the market buys edgebanding,” said Troeger. “Our 100 ft coil option allows for more personalized orders and reduces the waste of a full coil for smaller projects.”
