NEW: The latest highlight for RAUKANTEX pro is a so-called OMR layer ("optimised moisture resistance"), which guarantees water vapour resistance. This means that dishwashers, extractor bonnets or damp rooms cannot harm the edgeband in the long term.

Why choose the invisible joint edgeband?

Quality

The seamless bond creates a permanent, functional invisible joint. The fusion of edgeband and board increases both the finished components' resistance to thermal distortion as well as the moisture and water vapour-resistance.

Design

The functional layer is perfectly colour-coordinated with the decorative layer creating a flawless appearance with total seamless integration, which creates the impression of a solid material. It is prevented that the joint rubs off during day-to-day use thanks to the special hardness of the functional layer. Dirt in the joints is a thing of the past.

Process

Various technologies can be used to process RAUKANTEX pro. The manufacturing process is reliable, stable and provides a high repeating accuracy. The maintenance effort required is lower directly in comparison to conventional edging as aggregates do not become contaminated.

Sustainability

Sustainability is an important part of REHAU's corporate strategy. RAUKANTEX also has a lot to offer here: RAUKANTEX eco is an edgeband that consists of 50 percent post-industrial PP recyclates. RAUKANTEX evo is based on non-fossil raw materials which do not require any additional crude oil. And the new water vapour resistant OMR functional layer of RAUKANTEX pro also scores in terms of sustainability: due to its melting point, approx. 25 percent less laser energy is required for activation during processing while the peeling strength remains the same
