Building Solutions CPD Series

REHAU is dedicated to providing its customers with the most-up-to date training available. Over the course of January to March, we will be running a series of Thursday morning and afternoon face-to-face CPD sessions at the Building Centre in central London for up to six participants per session.

Introduction to sub-surface heating & cooling

Underfloor heating and cooling systems have become an integral part of new construction, in both the commercial and residential sectors. As an underfloor heating system operates on the basis of low surface temperatures and even temperature distribution across the whole floor.

Thermally activated building structures (TABS)

An integral part of green building, TABS from REHAU increases the efficiency of energy usage by circulating cold or warm water through embedded PE-Xa pipe circuits in the concrete slab of a building.

Introduction to chilled ceilings

Sustainable architecture should already be integrated in the concept phase of a building, incorporating both acoustic and thermal solutions for the comfort levels of the room occupants. REHAU offers special system solutions for both acoustic and thermal requirements.

Polymer pipe for heating & plumbing

Traditional copper and steel pipes are progressively being replaced by a diverse range of new polymer materials. To get the optimum performance from these materials, it is important to understand the different properties each has, the applications they are best suited for and best practice in design.

District heating and heat networks

District heating is the use of a central heat source, to provide heat to a number of buildings via a pre-insulated pipe network. In the UK it is rapidly growing in popularity as it is ideally linked with renewable energy sources, such as biomass or biogas.
