Each year, the Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA) invites its members to submit their best radiant heating and cooling projects as entries in the System Design Showcase contest for a chance at awards and recognition. Entries in six different categories are screened and narrowed down to a select list. Then, the RPA Technical Committee determines which projects are chosen as winners.

REHAU is proud to announce that two of our customers placed in this year’s System Design Showcase with their outstanding entries. They include:

Reid Heating & Energy, Inc., San Rafael, CA
This customer received a second place award in the Cooling category for Sweetwater Spectrum, a housing facility in Sonoma, CA designed for adults living with autism. The project uses 22,000 feet (6,600 meters) of RAUPEX® O2 barrier pipe in facility-wide radiant heating and cooling systems. Read more.

LD Mechanical, LLC, Montrose, CO
This customer received a second place award in the Commercial category for their design and installation of REHAU radiant heating and cooling and snow and ice melting systems in the Colorado Army National Guard's High-Altitude Aviation Training Site (HAATS) in Gypsum, CO. The firm installed radiant heating and cooling in a 40,000 square foot (3,716 square meter) hangar as well as a snow and ice melting system in a 12,000 square foot (1,115 square meter) space outside the hangar. The award recipients were announced at the Annual System Showcase Reception held September 18 in Philadelphia during RPA’s annual Membership Meeting and Conference.

“This is meaningful recognition that underscores the high level of regard with which our customers are held by their industry peers, as well as the high standard of excellence they are able to deliver using REHAU products,” said Mike Dietrich, director, building technologies. “We applaud each of these firms and RPA for raising the bar on what can be achieved with radiant heating and cooling technology.”
