REHAU Launches NUVERA™ Hung Slider Windows in North America

Market Launch REHAU NUVERA™ Window System: REHAU Window Solutions introduces a new structural approach for more design and fabrication flexibility 

 NUVERA™ hung/slider window system makes its first U.S. appearance at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas. 

• The new window system integrates glass-fiber reinforced RAU-FIPRO^® profiles into the meeting rail.

 A new structural approach, simplified fabrication and flexible installation: REHAU Window Solutions will present the new NUVERA™ window system in the United States for the first time at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas. 

 Las Vegas, September 22, 2026 – With the U.S. debut of NUVERA™, REHAU Window Solutions is introducing a new window solution for residential and light construction applications. The system combines glass-fiber reinforced material engineering with a streamlined architecture designed to support design flexibility, efficient production and installation across multiple applications. 

 “NUVERA™ brings together a new structural concept and a practical system approach for the North American market. It is designed to give fabricators, builders and architects more flexibility while helping simplify manufacturing and installation,” says Randy Hoover, Head Engineer and one of the engineers behind the development of NUVERA™ at REHAU Window Solutions. 

 NUVERA™ combines RAU-FIPRO® glass-fiber reinforced composite technology with RAU-FLECT Low-E technology to support strength and thermal performance in a streamlined window platform. Available in single-hung, double-hung, single-slider and fixed configurations, the system is designed for residential and light commercial applications. 

Installation features support both new construction and retrofit projects, while fabrication with standard uPVC equipment, fewer materials and reduced handling are intended to simplify production and support greater productivity. 

 Initial testing and performance evaluations have delivered strong results across key areas, including water performance, structural performance and thermal efficiency. Reported ratings include water performance up to DP100 and structural performance up to DP90 for fixed windows, water and structural performance up to DP55 LC for single-hung configurations, and up to DP30 for single-slider configurations. The system also achieves a thermal U-factor down to 0.22 with dual glazed glass units, based on simulation. Together, these results demonstrate the system’s combination of strength, thermal efficiency and design flexibility.

NUVERA™ uses glass-fiber reinforced RAU-FIPRO® profiles at the meeting rail in place of conventional metal reinforcement. This supports structural stability while enabling larger window sizes, increased glass areas and slimmer profiles. By using fewer components and reducing the need for traditional metal reinforcement, NUVERA™ helps lower material requirements, inventory, warehouse space, and material handling. 

 More fabrication efficiency. 

The system is built around a simplified profile architecture with five-chamber frames and three-chamber sash profiles. Fusion-welded corners, triple-glazing capability and compatibility with standard uPVC processing equipment help reduce component variation, simplify inventory management and support efficient production workflows. 

 More installation flexibility. 

Integrated features, including a nailing fin, installation strap groove and optional J-channel, allow NUVERA™ to support new construction, retrofit and siding applications. The system gives manufacturers a common platform across multiple window types while supporting consistent coordination among fabricators, builders and installers.
