In 2015, the Meiorins purchased a 1940s-era Toronto home and razed it in order to give Netkin another blank canvas to work with. Instead of an expansive lot with cliff-side views, Netkin was working with a 27-foot wide lot in a neighborhood he affectionately describes as “gritty.”
APEX 41 – Lombard, IL
By working closely during the design phase with general contractor and the REHAU fabricator, he architect was able to develop plans that use cost-effective, energy-efficient vinyl windows in large openings that typically call for aluminum windows.
Bell Tower – Seattle, WA
The Seattle Housing Authority found an energy-efficient solution that lowers operating costs and improves accessibility for residents. |Beverly Garland Hotel – Los Angeles, CA|
This 262-room luxury hotel is located near all of Hollywood’s famed attractions and the ever-bustling Los Angeles freeway. With that convenience comes the challenge of sound abatement, especially as the original (c. 1970) aluminum-frame exterior doors had become insufficient in insulating guests from sounds outside. The solution: REHAU's System 4500 tilt-slide doors.

Collingswood Manor – Collingswood, NJ
In this nursing home upgrade and expansion project, REHAU's team of window designers worked with Kohltech Windows & Entrance Systems to ensure residents would enjoy a peaceful home, despite the high speed trains that whiz by less than 100 ft (30m) from the back wall. A product with an STC rating of 37 was specially-designed to meet the specs.
Courthouse Square Apartments - Wheaton, IL
Natural light pours into these apartments through large (6-foot-tall), arching living room windows and floor-to-ceiling (8-foot-tall) sliding and swing doors that provide access to spacious balconies. The windows and doors, developed by REHAU and built by Chicago-based Newtec Windows & Doors, Inc., are one reason why Courthouse Square Apartments won top honors in the one-bedroom apartment category of the 2016 Chicagoland Apartment Marketing and Management Excellence Awards.
Deep-energy Retrofit - Belmont, MA
the Greater Boston area is full of beautiful two- and three-story homes built in the early and mid-20th century that are, to put it mildly, energy inefficient. Buyers are eager to preserve the original features that give these residences their historic charm. They are not as enthralled, however, about living with the energy inefficiency that previous owners through the generations considered a fact of life.

German International School – White Plains, NY
When you are thousands of miles from home, sometimes the smallest details can mean a lot. That was architect Rainer Schrom’s thinking as he selected REHAU System 4500 tilt-turn windows and matching REHAU sliding patio doors for four single-family homes to be built on the property of the German International School of New York (GIS) in White Plains.

Heathman Hotel – Kirkland, WA
REHAU System 4500 tilt-turn French doors enhance the charm and "Built Green" status of this 119,000 SF, 91-room boutique hotel in Kirkland, Washington. The doors, which exit onto the guest rooms’ Juliet balconies, contribute to the hotel’s aesthetic charm while also enhancing comfort by providing excellent energy efficiency.
Hilton DoubleTree Hotel – San Diego, CA
In this replacement project, 215 System 4500 windows and 130 tilt-slide doors were designed, fabricated, delivered and installed within a compressed six-week installation schedule. Tests showed an estimated energy savings of 241,00 kWh, and a 1,698 therms kw demand reduction of 29.4. REHAU is now a listed vendor on the Hilton Supplier Connection website.
Hilton Embassy Suites – Napa Valley, CA
Noise and outdoor air infiltration had become an issue at this 205-suite wine country haven. The c. 1985 property was in need of renovations to include window and door replacement. After an aluminum-frame door was tested for sound abatement and aesthetic appeal and did not perform to required standards, management approached REHAU about a high-performance uPVC profile solution.
Holiday Inn®GW Bridge – Fort Lee, NJ
Aiming to enhance guest comfort and reduce environmental impact, this property underwent a renovation and expansion that included upgrading its aluminum-frame windows to System 4500 uPVC window designs from REHAU. The result: A monthly energy cost reduction of about $1,000 and a 75% reduction in guest complaints related to exterior noise. The hotel also weathered a direct hit by Hurricane Sandy without one drop of water entering the building through the windows.
Holiday Inn Bayside - San Diego, CA
When planning a 57-room expansion at this bay-view property, planners knew hotel guests would want to enjoy the bay breezes by day, but also be able to block the noise of air and highway traffic by night for peaceful rest. The answer: REHAU System 4500 tilt-turn windows.
Hotel at Black Oaks Casino Resort - CA
The goal of the design team for this 148-room hotel was to incorporate the rustic mountainous landscape while providing modern comfort and energy efficiency. The team specified REHAU System 4500 windows for their thermal performance ratings, commercial-grade steel reinforcements for larger sizes and color availability.
Lippincott Living – Toronto, ON
This residential complex of eight townhomes was built to the highest quality standards to provide residents with an outstanding urban home in terms of design and performance. The homes feature prefab wall and floor panels, green roofs, solar shading, a cross-ventilation system, environmentally responsible interior finishes and REHAU System 4500 tilt-turn uPVC window designs.
The Montage – Reno, NV
Denoted the largest building conversion adaptive re-use project in the U.S. at the time of its completion, this 23-story residential community features units with floor-to-ceiling windows. Initially specified as commercial-grade, aluminum-frame systems, project coordinators opted to install REHAU System 4500 uPVC tilt-turn windows and doors instead.

When planning this new 100-unit multi-family apartment building, the developers wanted to live up to their reputation of combining innovative, contemporary style with high quality, sustainability and energy efficiency. REHAU System 1400 windows and System 4600 hinged doors were a natural choice.
The Ocean at 101 Boardwalk – Atlantic City, NJ
The new owners of this 1950s ocean-front apartment building replaced chronically leaking windows with uPVC windows from REHAU. The hurricane- and impact-resistant designs of the System 4500 tilt-turn and System 700 fixed window systems together provide optimal air and water tightness, increased strength, energy efficiency and efficient water drainage.
Oklahoma County Courthouses – OK
Several of this group of eight courthouses are more than a century old and appear on the National Register of Historic Places. Before renovation, many original windows were still in place, contributing to the buildings' inefficiencies. REHAU uPVC windows were chosen for their ability to stand up to the high winds and extreme temperatures of northwest Oklahoma, as well as their sound abatement properties.

In June 2015, REACH Community Development completed a 57-unit multifamily residential affordable housing complex that meets Passive House certification standards. Some of the most demanding specs were applied to the windows and exterior doors, which must provide exceptional thermal performance and durability. Piedmont Golf Club – Haymarket, VA
Ralph C. LaRock, principal of Ballinger LaRock Architects, wanted to create a clubhouse that would be a relaxing and welcome retreat for golfers and non-golfers alike. Schrom Residence – Fairfield, CT
Most people who see Rainer Schrom’s home in Fairfield, Connecticut, will be struck by its modern design and expansive outdoor entertainment space with ample use of floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors that let in loads of natural light and make the outdoors feel closer. Schrom sees all of that and more – features that are invisible to the untrained eye.
