In the tilt position, the window opens at the top with hinges at the bottom. In the turn position, the window is hinged on the side and opens by swinging inward.
System 4500 Tilt-Turn Windows
The tilt-turn is the dominant window style in Europe, now gaining popularity among discerning architects, designers and homeowners in North America. This versatile design is three windows in one: an inward opening casement in the turn position, a secure top-venting hopper in the tilt position and a tightly sealed picture window when closed.
With the System 4500 design, tilt-turn, awning, hopper and fixed configurations are possible. Matching doors in a variety of configurations are available.
The system is available in white, beige or clay and can be laminated with solid color or wood-grain foils.
System GENEO® Tilt-Turn Windows
GENEO is the first fully reinforced polymer window profile system that doesn’t rely on steel for its strength. Instead, it’s composed of RAU-FIPRO™, a proprietary fiber composite material similar to those employed in aeronautic construction and racing vehicles for outstanding strength and load capacities.
RAU-FIPRO, specially developed for GENEO, affords window construction benefits only imagined before. GENEO does not only provide superior structural integrity but also excels when it comes to thermal and acoustical performance.
With the GENEO design, tilt-turn, hopper and fixed configurations are possible.
