Fuel cell

Professor Ferdinand Panik, former head of the fuel cell project for one of the world's largest car makers, is convinced that in the future a sizable share of all vehicles will be powered by clean drive technologies. He heads the Institute of Sustainable Energy Engineering and Mobility at the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Together with a dedicated team of scientists, he does everything he can to develop highly efficient, clean systems of energy conversion and storage for mobile and stationary applications. Fuel cells and hydrogen technologies are playing an increasingly important role: In terms of range, fueling times and driving behavior, they fulfill current mobility requirements and are generally regarded as far superior options in environmental and economic terms compared to established vehicle drive systems. www.hs-esslingen.de
