Two international driving forces behind innovative premium products pool their expertise: HYUNDAI and REHAU have joined forces to create added value for their customers. To start this collaboration, the two companies are launching a mineral material in selected countries in the EMEA market. The medium-term objective is international cooperation. The cooperation includes consolidating existing designs and also developing joint designs, to be able to emphasise new features of surface materials. A diverse range of fittings is also an integral element in order to respond to a variety of customer needs.
The new collaboration between the two surface specialists is intended to exploit synergies. For decades, HYUNDAI and REHAU have both separately provided inspiration for architects, interior decorators and designers. HYUNDAI and REHAU now wish to join forces to offer their target groups a wider range of products and services, together with continuous innovation.
"The customer-oriented mindset of HYUNDAI L&C – one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium products – fits perfectly with the REHAU corporate strategy," says Thomas Hornfischer, Head of Product Management Furniture Components. "The cooperation will pool cutting-edge technology, design expertise and market knowledge to create added value for our customers." There is a clear distribution of tasks: HYUNDAI L&C will focus mainly on production and quality management, and REHAU will focus on evaluating market trends and requirements. The cooperation will first be launched in countries of the EMEA region, and is likely to be extended in the medium term. Common products of the equal partners will be marketed as REHAU I HANEX under a co-branding arrangement.
The first results of the cooperation are now ready for the market. With the mineral material, REHAU I HANEX has an extremely complex composite in its portfolio: RAUVISIO mineral/HANEX Solid Surface is an important pillar of the RAUVISIO surface finishing range. The polymer specialist attaches great importance to the fact that a design match is ensured for polymer surfaces. This means REHAU is opening up new possibilities for both architects and planners, as well as craftspeople. The mineral materials are UV resistant, which means they can be used indoors and outdoors. Façade cladding, wall panels, bathrooms, kitchens, prestigious hotel reception areas or laboratories – there are virtually no limits to the versatility of applications. 112 designs and a fittings range including basins, shower trays and bathtubs have been available since the programme launch. High quality, simple processing and attractive prices are key features of the first REHAU/HANEX range. REHAU will provide technical support of the usual high quality.
The new innovation duo has already found a competent German distribution partner. The key market is managed exclusively by ZEG. 13 ZEG branches provide the focus, commitment and teamwork needed to ensure the best possible service with every order.
