Chosen to replace wooden windows
REHAU Authorised Partner Fico recently manufactured and installed 64 uPVC casement windows, 2 residential doors and 1 sliding door to the revamped Image Makers building in Salt River, Cape Town.
The wooden windows and doors were replaced with uPVC windows, manufactured with the REHAU Ecotec uPVC window system, and fitted with single glazed Solavue Neutral and S10 Silver performance glass.
The main reason why the customer switched to a uPVC window system is the anticipated energy savings, especially in view of the 9.4% increase in electricity costs from April 2016.
The customer is very happy with the new windows and doors, as the ambiance inside the building has drastically improved due to lower heat gain. All in all, the windows have performed even better than the customer expected.
Other advantages offered by the uPVC windows are low maintenance, durability and UV stable windows.
Fico uPVC Window and Door Systems are based in Brackenfell, Cape Town. They distribute their range of uPVC windows and doors via Glasfit and Builder’s Warehouse outlets.
