Area Sales Manager South Island – Plumbing Industry

Your future tasks:

• Develop, maintain and build on current business relationships with existing plumbing merchants, contractors, consultants, engineers, architects and developers to achieve product specification
• Plan and implement cold call program for construction and residential sites to present REHAU products and maintain activity records and reports on customer contacts through various communication channels
• Achieve area sales budgets and new project quotas for underfloor heating and plumbing products
• Maintain close relationships with key accounts and ensure their requirements are being met by REHAU and our exclusive distributor
• Maintain current knowledge on products, competitive products and other general market information of interest or value to customers
• Together with the sales team, achieve successful implementation of the advertising & promotions program as well as participation in trade shows
• Ensure that complaints are followed up and that satisfactory solutions are obtained for both the customer and REHAU

What we look for:

• We are looking for a technically minded individual who has a minimum of 5 years sales experience in a mid to large size firm and possibly an understanding of plumbing or a similar construction market in New Zealand.
• Your core competencies will include excellent customer interface and interpersonal skills and technical aptitude.  Also a requirement is good team building and organization skills, solid business acumen, ability to solve problems, a welcoming attitude towards customers plus strong communication ability.
