Design Turned Upside Down

Another highlight is the new crossgrain design range. This is particularly relevant given the current trend towards wide grained, relief-rich, contrast wood designs, where a horizontal grain edgeband looks fine along two sides of the board, but then when viewed from those ends of the board where the strong vertical grain is the main visual impact, the edgeband can seem to run across the grain and can often be an affront to the eye.

The Express Collection allows you to use a traditional edgeband on those sides running parallel to the top face, and a crossgrain design on the ends to give the appearance of a through grain edgeband, thus imitating a real piece of wood.
