REHAU Discusses the Latest Panel and Components Trends at the AWFS 2017 Closets Symposium

REHAU: AWFS 2017

LEESBURG, Va., July 26, 2017 – Another successful AWFS in the books. Not only were attendees able to see firsthand what’s new in the industry, but they were also able to expand their network, attend technical seminars, view live demonstrations, and so much more.

One other highlight from AWFS 2017, the Closets Symposium held on July 18, was a panel discussion where participants received the opportunity to hear from an impressive lineup of industry experts on the latest trends in panel and components. Among the speakers were Lisa Adams, celebrity closet designer, Michele Weitzel from Northern Contours and our very own Jesse Collins, Marketing Manager at REHAU.

Collins focused on four emerging trends - the first grouped super matte and high-gloss with warm wood grain surfaces. The look can be achieved by using FENIX NTM, RAUVISIO brilliant, and RAUVISIO terra. Another popular look she introduced is mixing copper and brass metallic with super matte surfaces, ideally using FENIX NTM.  Also, using high-gloss in transitional, modern farmhouse designs provided a completely unique combination of both trends. RAUVISIO brilliant surfaces can make this vision come to life. Collins finally spoke about combining a back-painted glass look with soft-touch textured woodgrains. This modern look is easily attained by using RAUVISIO terra and RAUVISIO crystal products, and brings a warmth to a traditionally cool, glass design.

"All of these trends beautifully showcase you can mix materials to use European designs in an American way using our REHAU surface solutions. I was so grateful for this opportunity to speak at the 2017 Closets Symposium and present to the attendees. We look forward to seeing you at AWFS 2019," says Collins.

REHAU LaserEdge Technology
REHAU LaserEdge adhesive-free technology is a two-layer edgeband comprising a surface and a color-matched functional layer. It is applied by hot-air, laser, plasma and NIR edgebanders that melt the functional layer on the reverse side of the edgeband and weld it to the carrier board. The resulting seam-free board offers increased aesthetic appeal with no joints to stain or discolor, as well as superior heat and moisture resistance and an overall more efficient manufacturing process when compared to EVA glue. REHAU LaserEdge is available from stock in a growing range of colors.
