Polymer specialist REHAU has received the renowned "Web Marketing Award 2012" for the relaunch of its corporate websites. The Web Marketing Association, an international organization, has been awarding this prize for 16 years. In the category "Best Website of Industry," REHAU's online presence impressed the international judging panel with distinctive design features, functional diversity and high quality content. The extensive site relaunch included high requirements for user friendliness. The judging panel deemed the implementation "excellent."
The demands for the new REHAU web presence were as broad as the company's product range, which ranges from high quality furniture components to automobile bumper systems to solutions for energy-efficient construction. The aim was to improve user-friendliness and to adapt the presence more closely to the corporate brand, which was redeveloped a few years ago. The corporate websites published in various languages were also revised as a result of the relaunch. The German web presence went successfully online in August 2011 as the first launched website and at the same time, it formed the basis for approximately 60 further REHAU country presences, which will be gradually rolled out until 2013.
The relaunch was implemented in cooperation with CoreMedia, Hamburg, as well as the Berlin agency Aperto. The conceptual revision of the structure as well as the textual and visual worlds were devised by the REHAU corporate editorial team. An appealing appearance with large visual stages and simplified navigation tools are the result of the user-friendly revision. "We are proud to be awarded the Web Marketing Award 2012. At the same time, we want to find out by means of such comparisons how we can improve even further," explains Klaus Gollwitzer, head of Corporate Communications at REHAU. He added that the aim is to be able to provide customers with perfect service.
