When comparing energy-efficient windows, the U-value is often mentioned. The U-value is the thermal transmittance coefficient. It is used to evaluate a window's heat insulation and indicates the amount of energy that flows through a 1 sqft surface in 1 hour. The lower this value is, the higher the heat insulation.
